ABOUT BRANDI

Brandi Ortiz is a New York City-based photographer and art director with a focus on portraits, editorial, and commercial projects. They’ve been capturing the essence of the city and those who call it home since 2015 when they unceremoniously left a MFA program with no novel but holding on to the persistent urge to tell a story. Images are their medium of choice.

PHILOSOPHY

Brandi believes photos are metaphors, making the abstract concrete and mystifying the mundane. They believe photography is a conversation between the photographer, the subject, and those who will view these images for years to come. Brandi relishes in adding to the archive of humanity.
